ABOUT LIBBIE
With her own history, growing up in an orphanage, addiction to drugs and alcohol, her recovery, sobriety, and even most recently losing her own only child, Libbie knows firsthand how hard life can be.What began as a woman trying to navigate her own son’s incarceration bloomed into a ministry to incarcerated people and their families. Which turned into the first Faith-based recovery program in the State of Florida’s jail, prisons, and Court system. Which then lead Leland Family Ministries to open a community center that not only served those on probation and individuals coming out of institutions and rehabs but also people in the community from the homeless to senior citizens, individuals, and families in need. The ministry also worked with people to get their spiritual, physical, emotional, and financial needs meet.
Our mission is to connect individuals, families, and neighbors to the Love of God and direct them through the Word of God.
OUR MISSION
While the different ministries of Leland Family Ministries have grown and changed over the past 25+ years, our mission remains the same - to connect individuals, families, and neighbors to the Love of God and direct them through the Word of God. The acronym for LELAND is Love Everyone Lonely And Needing Direction. We believe that no one should have to go through hard times alone, we all need love, direction, and connection the most during these very difficult times. None of us have it all together (nope, not even us). Trust us, this ministry is for you! Because no matter your history, your struggles, your addiction, or your brokenness, there is hope and healing in Jesus. God is expanding our territory, and this is what Leland Family Ministries looks like today. Our focus is 3 main areas of outreach, all aimed to connect people through some of life’s hardest struggles.
OUR WHY
Leland Family Ministries has since grown, changed, and developed in many ways over the years. We exist to reach out and provide resources and services to help people who are dealing with hard life issues, and we walk alongside them during and after as they overcome their personal challenges. We help people overcome their hardships and then encourage them to get involved and allow God to use them to then help, pray and encourage someone else trying to overcome the same issues.

Our Focus
To assist those facing life’s challenges in finding solace in God’s teachings and regaining their footing.
Recovering from hard life issues is a journey and everyone deserves support durning difficult times, regardless of where they are on their path.
Neighborhoods play a crucial role in creating a sense of community and providing support for those who live within them.
Losing a loved one can be a challenging and isolating experience, but it doesn't have to be faced alone.
